The lines at guest services get longer towards the end of the cruise, so make sure you get any business (paying tips, etc) done as early as possible. The same applies for shopping.
As soon as you purchase your trip make reservations for Palo, the spa & any excursions you plan to take. For the spa, know what you want to book in advance, don't bother with the tour, just make your reservation. It all books up quick.
On the 4-day cruise, if you plan to go to Animator's Palate twice, go on the first assigned evening, as the animation show doesn't run on the last night.
On the 3-day cruise, if you plan to dine at Palo, make your reservation for as late as possible. Go to your assigned restaurant & have a light meal. You can then see the show & go to Palo afterwards.
Buy snacks & sodas from a supermarket before you get to the ship, you can store them in the fridge in your stateroom. You can then take snacks with you when you go ashore.
In the corridors on the ship, just look at the carpet to find out which way the back or front of the ship is - the anchor on the carpet is two-coloured, the red points towards the back of the ship, the blue towards the front.
On Castaway Cay, get off the ship as early as you can if you want to get a good place on the beach, in a hammock or under an umbrella. The adult beach usually has plenty of space, but the family beach fills up quick - although it is still way better than any other beach you will ever go to.
If you want to go snorkeling on Castaway Cay, go early. When lots of people have been in the water, the sand is kicked up from the bottom & visibility is greatly reduced. Rent your snorkel gear in advance on the boat to avoid the queues on the island.
Disney animation art & photographs can be found throughout the ship, ask for the self directed tour from guest services.
There are 14 hidden Mickeys to be found on the ship, ask at guest services for the Mickey challenge.
The disembarkation talk is broadcast on the TVs in the staterooms all day, so you don't need to attend the talk.
The best time to find characters is during the sail-away celebration, on deck 10.
