Taswira When Are You Cruising?

I will be sailing on my 12th Disney cruise on 9 JANUARY 2010 (western Caribbean Magic with my mom) and my 13th on 4 DECEMBER 2010 (eastern Caribbean Magic, solo but with Chip 'n' Dale's Cruisin' Nuts). Just wondered if anyone else here is booked on a Disney cruise for the coming year? I am also wondering if this group is still alive. There's been no word about the referral contest that had been extended to end 5 or 6 months ago. Is anyone still here? Continue

John Pin Trading - Low cost and fun for kids of all ages

Pin Trading, is a blast for the kids, they can trade with any cruise officer or store clerk for any pin that they don't already have. Visit the stores frequently as they are the easiest way to find pins to trade prior to the "pin trading night" which is nice. Bring a lanyard if this is your first trip or you can buy one on board. Bring all your pins and have fun. Stop by the disney store in the airport and buy a few if this is your first trip. This make for a great item to keep from trip to trip… Continue

John More Disney Cruise Tips

The lines at guest services get longer towards the end of the cruise, so make sure you get any business (paying tips, etc) done as early as possible. The same applies for shopping. As soon as you purchase your trip make reservations for Palo, the spa & any excursions you plan to take. For the spa, know what you want to book in advance, don't bother with the tour, just make your reservation. It all books up quick. On the 4-day cruise, if you plan to go to Animator's Palate twice, go on the… Continue

John Atlantic Excursion

Shore Excursions

Disney offers a wide variety of shore excursions of varying quality. In most cases the excursions are offered by third parties contracted by Disney. If you're wondering whether an excursion is worthwhile, I would recommend buying a guidebook that reviews them.

You should probably stick with official Disney excursions when planning all-day itineraries that visit remote areas, particul

John Privacy on the beach (Cast Away Cay)

The Cast Away Cay beaches are some of the best beaches in the Bahamas. You will find that there is plenty of space on the family beach and more than enough on the adult only beach. If you like the beach but want a little slice of heaven for yourself, there is a second row of lounge chairs set just behind the beach grass on Serenity Cove. This gives you just enough privacy for personal moments. Follow the trail to the end, you will find a palm tree, your own personal palm tree. (Do remember that… Continue

John Getting Your Kids in The Golden Mickey's

Here is another opportunity to make your kids more than spectators. 'The Golden Mickey's' is the first show of the trip and is a great one at that. Someone from your party should be in line about 30 minutes prior (this would be a good time to do some shopping while a hubby waits in line). Once you have your seats, start looking for a 'cast member' holding a small note pad. This cast member is looking for good little boys and girls that can fill in for missing 'dwarfs'. Snow White loves the kiddo… Continue
