Tips to remember about the Disney Wonder Cruise.
Here are a few tips to remember about the Disney Wonder Cruise.
1. Don't waste your time in line for the boarding photo. Bypass the line, you will have plenty of photo ops once onboard and you will not want this photo once you see the others. The back drop is nothing special anyway. This will get you on board much quicker, making sure you dont miss lunch.
2. Get to know the onboard cast ASAP, these people are the life of the ship and I'm not speaking of Mickey and friends (the characters). The cast memebr are the group hosting most of the events on your schedule. The better they know your kiddos the more fun your kids will have and the more things they will get to participate in. (see my blog on "getting your kids in the show")
3. Remember to take phone cards in order to tip the cast members. They can't accept certain gifts, but these they can these.
(From the memeber comments below - Walmart gift cards could be a great tip, we also seen someone had Visa gift cards)
4. The lemonade is still complentary, so order it while getting ready for bed and put it in the ice box for the next day. We filled up our cups/mugs in the morning and had something to drink all day.
5. Room service - Order cold breakfast for kiddos the night before and place it in the icebox. Fruit plate, cold ceral & milk. No waiting with hungry kids for room service in the morning, then you can take your time getting to the buffet.
6. Don't be afraid to ask - you want it they will get it. Our house keeper made towel art for each of our kids and fullfilled a couple of other special request. (These guys like phone cards as well)
7. The buffet line - If all you want is ceral, skip the line. This is also the case with the specialty items around the corner from the buffet. Have a member of your part walk about the deck and go to the specialty area, this is in the seating area, between the two buffets. We found we did not go through the line for breakfast but once.
8. Take an extra camera card and let the kids take pictures and take all the pictures you can of everything. We found that some of the best pictures were taken by the kids. They love to see the pictures they way they remeber them.
9. Using Two Way Radio's - This is a handy way to keep in touch, although do not go cheap. If you are going to do this you must spend the money and buy the good ones, the ship is a huge chunck of metal and the island is small but not that small.

Good tips. I would prefer to give Walmart Gift cards, rather than phone cards. Most CM's now have cell phones, and there is a shuttle that takes them to Walmart when they are in PC.
